The 2013 Honolulu Convention was held Monday, April 29 - Thursday, May 2, 2013. Please check back for information and announcements regarding the next HSGA convention.
Monday and Tuesday were spent in the Peacock Room of the Queen Kapi'olani Hotel. On Wednesday, HSGA provided live steel guitar music at the annual Lei Day Festival in nearby Kapi'olani Park. On Thursday, we held a free concert in the Public Library.
The pre-registration fee covering all days for 2013 was $120 per person. The non-refundable fee included a daily buffet luncheon on Monday and Tuesday and our daily rental fee for the Peacock Room. The hotel requires a minimum attendance in order for us to reserve the facilities, so pre-registration and pre-payment is very helpful. The fee for walk-in registration for 2013 was $15 per day, $40 if ordering lunch. (The lunch price is on a space-available basis as seating is limited.)
Hotel reservations are not included in the convention fee but a very nice group rate was once again offered by the Queen Kapi'olani hotel, which is central to the events listed on this page.
